First day out in public. Took longer to get loaded in cars and drive there than to do the experience itself. Went to Best Buy in Ocoee. Was supervised getting Leeta in and out of the car and to the door. Waited in line outside the store until all 7 teams were ready. Entered store and did a circuitous loop in the store past all the noisy TV, stereos, computers, etc.
Leeta did fine and I guess that means Susan and I did as well.
We learned some new commands today and learned how to groom Leeta correctly. Susan can help with a lot of that, combing, brushing, teeth cleaning, ear cleaning, etc.
We also got our "goody" bag with bowls, select toys, shampoo, brushes, etc. in it for Leeta. That was important because as I write, Leeta is in her dog crate in the room with us (it's 9:30 and Leeta's quiet and probably asleep). This is our first night with her. So this is a big night for all of us.
So far, so good.

I guess Leeta is definitely your dog now. That's good, I've always wanted a granddaughter. We can't wait to meet her. Keep up the good work.
