So that mean 10 dogs to choose. At the end of the day we got to play for a while with one named Fawn, though we weren't thrilled with her, she kept rolling over on her back and wanting us to rub her belly. That's nice, but something Susan can't do, obviously, so we don't know if that's a great match.
We learned correction and encouragement today. correction includes a swift jerk to the chain around the dogs necks. Sounds bad, but it really only get their attention. They have so much loose skin there, that it doesn't really hurt.
Not too much else to report other than I wouldn't be posting pictures. I have the camera, but they have volunteers taking pictures all through training and they've promised us all a CD with all the pictures, so I'll post them at the end.
Things are going well, I suppose. We still have A LOT to learn. We're only on command 6 of some 40+ commands we'll have to learn. It takes them 2+ years to learn them, why to they think we could get it all after 2 weeks!
Everyone is talking about the dogs they like and aren't keen with. We're starting to think about which dog is going to be paired with us.
More later
